Most Halloween recipes are pretty unhealthy. It’s a holiday that focuses on candy and sugar. It was really hard to find any ideas for savory foods, especially healthy ones. It’s easy to snack on candy while you’re waiting for trick-or-treaters, so I decided to Halloween up a favorite quick, hand snack food of mine. It’s a Halloween themed veggie tray!
I know this is a simple idea, but all I did was carve an orange pepper with a jack-o-lantern face and line the inside with cling wrap. I added my favoite veggie dip.
I also used some fun Halloween cookie cutters to cut flour tortillas into chips for dipping. This makes a nice, healthy quick snack for when you’re going back and forth to the door.
I love Halloween. I always go all out. This month, I’m blogging my menu from last year:
- Dark and Light Creepy Candy Apples
- Pumpkin Krispy Treats
- Jack-o-Lantern Vegetable Tray
- Bat Cheesy Egg Rolls
- Pumpkin Ravioli
- Creepy Sugar Cookies
- Snake Calzone
